This role is within our Corporate Mid Market team as a Commercial Client Manager. The successful candidate will be expected to drive profitable growth, retention and customer engagement across a portfolio of existing Mid Market customers, using sales and relationship management skills.
How will you make an impact in this role?
* Transform relationships with customers to achieve profitable growth and retention
* Develop and execute portfolio strategies for differentiated treatments and account prioritisation aligned with our trigger-based approach
* Create and execute account strategies to uncover opportunities both in a ‘ringfenced’ base and with ‘dynamic’ customers who represent a potential to accelerate growth
* Proactively manage an effective sales pipeline, identify and prioritise opportunities that support goal achievement
* Challenge customers' existing processes and recommend Amex solutions to help customers achieve their goals
* Ensure customers are supported to self-service so the successful candidate can focus on strategic activities
* Effectively deploy Amex data insights, resources and tools to deliver value, profitable growth and deepen client relationships
* Operate effectively in a fast-paced evolving environment, influencing, collaborating and coordinating with multiple stakeholders
* Ensure premium value is delivered that aligns with customer goals, delivers a positive customer experience and achieves customer advocacy
* Conduct business the right way to ensure regulatory requirements are met
Minimum Qualifications
* Sales experience a must (preferably in a business-to-business contact environment)
* Experience managing relationships with commercial clients
* Resilient in the face of adversity
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to influence, persuade and challenge the status quo
* Experience of thriving in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to manage a demanding workload with short timelines and under pressure
* Strong collaborator to partner with stakeholders to achieve goals
* Team player
