Orchid Care Home is purpose-built, with 84 single ensuite rooms for residents who require nursing care, some have mental health issues such as dementia, and some need end-of-life care. Our residents are supported by our skilled and dedicated teams to have maximum choice and control of their lives in the least restrictive way possible.
Role:
We currently need care assistants to work full or part time nights. We need flexible and compassionate people to help us deliver the type of care you’d want your own relatives to have.
Experience is valuable, but not essential. We are looking for genuine, caring and hard-working people who really want to make a positive difference to the lives of our residents. We will provide you with your uniform, and the support and training you need, including induction, the Care Certificate and ongoing development.
Your role will be to ensure the general well-being of our residents, promoting their independence, choice and dignity by delivering the highest standards of care. You will help with personal care, such as washing, bathing and dressing, supporting people who need help at meal times, and by taking part in social activities with residents, both individually and as part of a group.
All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances to ensure the safeguarding of adults. Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced DBS disclosure, at their own cost.
Applicants must already be based in the UK. We are not able to offer sponsorship certificates to applicants.
Company:
We invest in our staff in training and development above the national guidelines as we recognise our staff are the key to our success. Recruiting and retaining the right staff is paramount. We do this by valuing their input and empowering them throughout their roles.
