Working as part of the Group Clinical team, the successful candidate will provide subject matter support and guidance for clinical education and innovation, as well as the strengthening of a robust framework for healthcare insights discovery. This will be performed under direction of the Head of Clinical Education and Innovation, with a particular focus on clinical education, market scanning, innovation benchmarking and reporting. You’ll help us make health happen by: Under the strategic direction of the Head of Clinical Education and Innovation, this role will deliver the following, within agreed timescales & resources. Support clinical education and workforce programmes to help attract, retain and develop clinical talent. Systematically investigate evidence, including internal and external data, to identify trends which are likely to affect Bupa’s businesses in the next 1-5 years to provide comprehensive, concise, and objective recommendations that are based on sound evidence. Development of learning content and education programmes centred around the Future of Healthcare to support the education of Bupa workforce. Identify opportunities for clinician mobility, in alignment with Market Unit priorities and capabilities. Support the development of global clinical research hub, helping to elevate local publications and providing assistance for regional research programmes. Benchmark healthcare solutions using an outcomes framework and mapping solutions against business need. This requires engagement with solution providers, internal colleagues, and delivery of clear recommendations. Provide effective and clear communication, containing written & verbal information, to all relevant audiences, in a confident and professional manner on a regular basis, even where conclusions/recommendations may be contentious. This may be disseminated through bulletins, reports, newsletters, and stakeholder network updates. Develop and maintain an Intelligence Hub for the storage and communication of internal and external insights that support strategic decision-making. Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a relevant, collaborative, and high-quality Education and Innovation Service. Ensuring the Bupa Group is kept abreast of relevant health, social & dental care (healthcare) advancements and their anticipated commercial impact, through the implementation of a comprehensive and effective landscape scanning service. Benchmarking of potential solutions that support business decision-making in strategically relevant areas to ensure provision of optimal healthcare solutions for Bupa customers. One component of this service will be the development of an active network of stakeholders across the Bupa Group, including colleagues from Proposition Development, Healthcare Management, Strategy, Risk & Clinical functions. This network will identify clinical areas of strategic relevance and ensure that insights feed into clinical training programmes, result in appropriate business response and have a positive impact on commercial performance. The Bupa Group structure needs to be understood and navigated including Market Unit and business unit structures within it. Also requires an in-depth understanding of the healthcare marketplace including academia, professional organisations, and representative bodies. Key Skills and Qualifications needed for this role: Qualified to graduate level, or equivalent. Excellent understanding of how to interpret and synthesise healthcare evidence and develop content that can be understood by a range of target audiences (e.g. unfamiliar audiences, clinicians, business leaders.) Exceptional communication skills, written and oral, with a clear talent for upskilling and influencing others at all levels in an organisation. Diverse clinical and commercial experience, including within a strategic setting. Ability to integrate and articulate clinical and commercial outcomes when developing and presenting information with a potential future business impact. Excellent literature searching and critical appraisal of health literature and assessment of scientific evidence skills, including market scanning methodologies, external tracking tools and data used to identify healthcare trends. Experience of clinical research/ academic institutions. Sound judgment, problem solving, team leadership and analytic skills. Strong organisational and programme management skills, able to prioritise competing demands and work in many disciplines simultaneously. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT packages for report writing and project management - experience with AI tools and packages preferred.
