Introduction:
We are seeking a Pricing Analyst to join our Grinding, Bulk, Pyro (GBP) business unit team. The GBP business handles the services (aftermarket) support for Grinding, Stirred Milling, High Pressure Grinding Roll (HPGR), Bulk Material Handling (BMH) and Pyro products. You will be responsible for working directly with the Data Engineer to support the Global Quotation Support (GQS) and Complex Sales Order (CSO) teams by optimizing the way data is retrieved, cleaned, and reported, with an emphasis on data interpretation, modeling, and visualization.
This position is mainly located in York, PA (US) but, we are willing to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. This role may involve up to 10% of travel.
What you’ll do:
* Develop and continuously improve databases/pricing models to provide more accurate information to different stakeholders.
* Develop dashboards and reports to various stakeholders.
* Compile, analyze and organize supplier quotes from various sources.
* Work with the product group and proposal teams to prioritize pricing models for components and understand which key metrics will affect the costs of these parts.
* Work with the global sourcing team, GBP Proposal team, GBP Global Quotation Support (GQS) team and the GBP Project management team to collect the supplier quotations.
* Support the internal team (Proposal and GQS) on how to best use the estimation tools.
* Establish data pipelines from ERP system (SAP) and other sourcing software to compile information on historical costs and integrate data into pricing models.
* Cross train with the product lines to develop a technical knowledge of GBP products.
* Improve efficiency and the Quotation Response Time (QRT).
* Present data and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
* Position requires good communication skills, teamwork abilities, mechanical skills, and the ability to work in a lively environment.
* Shows a focus on quality ethics and aims to meet the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.
Who you are:
* A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Information Technology is preferred or years of related experience would be considered.
* Proficient with programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java.
* Familiar working with data visualization software (PowerBI or Tableau).
* Familiar with statistical computing software (R, Python, or the equivalent).
* Possess solid problem-solving skills.
* Mechanical aptitude – ability to read and understand drawings would be preferred.
* You can communicate well in both written and spoken English.
* Has attention to detail.
* Understand pricing strategies such as value-based, cost-plus, and dynamic pricing.
* Driver’s license for local travel must be maintained.
* Passport is required for international travel.
