Major Recruitment are looking to hire Electrical Fitter and Wirers for a well established Engineering company in Loughborough on a temp to perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading company, specialising in the design, manufacture, and assembly of low voltage switchgears and electrical systems. You will be involved in the assembly, wiring, and fitting of essential electrical components to the highest standards. Hours and Pay £12.50 to £14 per Hour - Monday to Friday Are you an experienced Electrical Fitter with a strong background in wiring and assembly? Do you have hands-on experience working with PCB (Printed Circuit Boards), low voltage switchgear, and electrical components? If so, we'd love to hear from you Key Responsibilities: As an Electrical Fitter and Wirer, you will be an integral part of the assembly team. Your role will involve: Using various hand tools, you will assist in the assembly of PCBs and the wiring of low voltage electrical systems, following schematics and wiring diagrams to ensure all components are correctly placed. You will wire and install electrical components onto circuit boards, including capacitors, resistors, and switches, ensuring that the circuits are fully functional. Soldering wires and components onto circuit boards with precision. You will also conduct thorough testing to ensure all assemblies are working as intended. Identifying issues in the assembly process, resolving wiring issues, and ensuring the final product meets all quality standards. There may be opportunities to work on customer sites across the UK, requiring occasional travel and overnight stays. Position Requirements: We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: Previous experience in electrical fitting and wiring, ideally with PCBs, is highly advantageous. Proficiency in using hand tools, soldering irons, and other assembly tools, with the ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently. Able to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the assembly and wiring processes. A good timekeeper who can manage tasks effectively and work under deadlines. An understanding of workplace safety protocols, especially in electrical and mechanical assembly environments. Willingness to work overtime (including Saturdays) and travel to customer sites when needed, staying overnight if required. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. Why Join Us?
