Working on both current and future projects as they continue to expand, you will take ownership of marine mechanical solutions with a specialist focus on hydraulics from concept through to commissioning Mechanical Design Engineer - Hydraulics £40,000 - £55,000 Pension Life Assurance 25 Days Holiday Hampshire Ref: 24519 Mechanical Design Engineer (Hydraulics) - The Role: * Collaborate with a small, dynamic team of engineers to develop systems for commercial, leisure and shipping sectors of the Marine Industry * Design and specification of hydraulic systems from producing schematics to 3D modelling and manufacturing drawings of manifolds and other components * Produce documentation and calculations to support designs * Modelling of hydraulic systems with Simcenter AMEsim for validation of systems * Develop and test hydraulic systems * Supplier selection and management * Commissioning and technical support for vessels * Produce documentation and calculations to support designs * Be an integral part of the mechanical team, taking additional involvement in other areas of mechanical design as needed Mechanical Design Engineer (Hydraulics)- The Person: * Higher education within a Fluid Power, Mechanical, Electrical, control systems or related field. * NFPC (or equivalent) Hydraulics Training (this could be provided for a suitable candidate). * Strong understanding of Industrial and Mobile hydraulic systems and components * Understanding of Mechanical systems with experience with CAD design * Experience in creation of hydraulic schematics * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail & able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment * Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to cross-functional team members * Willingness to travel * Experience with Simcenter AMEsim simulation software is an advantage You will join a business who are keen to succeed with a focus on providing a supportive environment for all employees.
