If you're passionate about IT and thrive on making a difference, we want you The role: As a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer, your day will involve maintaining network stability, managing user accounts with Active Directory, troubleshooting Microsoft 365 issues, and configuring Windows Servers. You’ll provide hands-on support for hardware, cabling, and infrastructure while ensuring IT systems meet business needs. With a mix of collaboration, on-the-job training, and occasional on-call duties, this role offers variety and a supportive team environment. What your day could look like: · Maintaining, monitoring and supporting the stability, security and integrity of the current IT network. Providing support to ensure all business-critical information is backed up in line with the company’s back up procedures. Providing support and advice to all departments within the business to make sure IT equipment and systems are suitable for their needs. Maintaining and supporting all IT related services offered to customers of the business Maintaining and supporting all telecommunications systems and suppliers. Providing support in the cabling and maintenance of the existing IT and telecommunications infrastructure. Being part of the team that provides 7 day per week IT support to the business. Provide emergency only/weekend on-call cover which is on a weekly rota basis. Job Skills & Requirements: Experience using Microsoft Active Directory & Entra to manage users and computers A strong working knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11 and MacOS Experience with Microsoft 365 products including Office, Outlook, Microsoft Teams etc. A working knowledge of network processes such as DHCP, DNS & NAT Broad knowledge of configuring and building Windows Server 2016 to 2022. Experience of asset management and tracking of software/hardware. Ability to use simple Linux commands to build VMs. A full UK driving license.
