Our client who are a well-established player in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a dedicated and efficient Stores Person on a contract basis to manage their warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate inventory records by regularly updating stock levels
Conduct regular stock takes and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring quantities and quality match purchase orders
Organise and store materials, tools, and equipment efficiently within the warehouse
Prepare and package items for dispatch according to company standards
Coordinate with internal departments to fulfil their material and equipment needs
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse
Assist with the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse operations
Job Requirements:
Experience in warehouse operations and inventory management
Counter Balance forklift and Full UK driving licenses required
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (licence preferred)
Understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting
Basic computer skills for inventory management systems
Effective communication skills and a proactive attitude
Capability to work independently and as part of a team
Hours:
8.30am - 4.30pm (Monday to Friday)
Pay:
c£13.33 per hour (Depending on experience)
