We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Duty Manager to join our fast -growing company. You must enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will be responsible for leading the NovaCity team to success and ensuring all work processes flow efficiently to help bring classes, projects and ideas that benefit the business to completion. Management experience and the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks are a must.
Manager Roles and Responsibilities
* Direct, oversee, and manage daily operations for our organization
* Uphold and enforce company policies and procedures and implement new processes
* Suggest changes to operating standards in order to improve the efficiency of work
* Set departmental goals and create plans of action for achieving them
* Work with management to resolve employee issues and complaints
* Help foster a positive working environment for all workers and check in regularly to ensure employee satisfaction
* Maintain an efficient, organized workspace that encourages productivity at all times
* Complete daily operational tasks in a timely manner
* Perform general office duties as needed (sending/answering emails, phone calls, filing/electronically inputting forms, end of day emails etc.)
* Build and maintain positive client and customer relationships
* Set-up and attend company meetings as required
* Induct and train new hires in company processes and procedures
* Maintain open lines of communication between both venues
* Staff arrive on time / work hours required
* Monitor the quality of sessions
* Monitor number in classes
* Gain an insight through customer feedback – face to face and written form
* Staff feedback on a weekly basis – issues to be discussed with Managing Director
* Manage all areas of stock control for the venue you are assigned to

Management Requirements
* 2+ years working in a management position and familiar with such duties and responsibilities
* In-depth knowledge of our specific industry a plus
* Service industry experience
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to consistently maintain positive client relationships
* Exceptional time-management and task-delegation skills
* Computer literate and proficient using Microsoft Suite
* Organized and detail-oriented
* Outstanding communicator both verbally and written

General Objectives
* As a NovaCity employee you are expected to instruct, explain, and demonstrate techniques and methods of your activity to a high standard, taking into consideration the age, level and ability of the targeted pupils.
* As well as demonstrating methods and techniques for the class, you are expected to observe and correct pupils as they attempt to do it themselves, and offer suggestions to pupils on how to improve their techniques.
* You are expected to plan and prepare for your classes with your own ideas, keeping all classes fresh, fun and safe.
* You are expected to arrive 15 minutes prior to your shift starting. Be responsible for your pupils throughout the whole of their class.
* You are expected to be involved with the events of NovaCity, and get your pupils ready for any show, competitions, events etc.
* You are expected to maintain a professional manner at all times when representing NovaCity, whether at the venues or out in the community.
* You are also expected to be able to communicate with parents/students about their progression, updating them with regular feedback.
* If you work within the café, kitchen staff are responsible for ensuring all areas of the kitchen, food prep, and food storage areas are clean and properly sanitized. This includes washing dishes and cooking equipment, cleaning floors, sanitising countertops and chopping boards, and maintaining all areas to health code standards.
* You are also expected to maintain an adequate level of stock. Liaise with Managing Director to keep on top of stock levels
* You are responsible for making sure that all policies and procedures are fully met, and that communication with the rest of the employees in NovaCity is done on a daily basis.
