The Avenue Cheadle Stoke on Trent Staffordshire ST10 1EN
Headteacher L16 – L24 (£72162-£87650 – September 2024)
Start date: 1 September 2025
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Cheadle Primary School for an ambitious, innovative and inspirational leader.
We are a popular two form entry primary school with approximately 370 children on roll, including a 26 place FTE Nursery, located in the heart of a diverse and growing community. We also have a private Nursery on site with a lease agreement in place – Cheadle Kindergarten.
We provide before and after school care at our Fun Club and have excellent outdoor facilities including extensive playing fields and our beautiful Forest School area.
The school is on a positive journey with an exciting future ahead and the staff and governors are very proud of our ‘good’ school status in all five key judgement categories.
We have a dedicated and experienced team of staff who work within a strong ethos of supporting children, their families and the local community and we all aspire to be even better for our children.
Our children are at the heart of everything we do and we strive to provide a childhood that they will enjoy and we aim to inspire them with a sense of fun. Our narrative describes an environment where children feel valued, are challenged, can be aspirational and become life-long learners.
We are looking for a Headteacher who has the drive, ability and commitment to continue to raise standards across the curriculum and who can build on the existing excellence in our school and can write our next successful chapter.
We are looking to appoint:
* a dynamic and inspiring leader who has our children’s learning, emotional well-being and happiness at the forefront of every decision.
* an approachable leader with a strong commitment to working not only with the children and staff but also with our parents/carers, governors and wider community.
* a skilled individual able to lead, develop and manage an effective team with enthusiasm and continuous drive towards excellence whilst also ensuring that student and staff wellbeing is always at the forefront of their mind.
* a colleague who has a clear grasp of what makes learning engaging and active throughout the age range from Nursery to Year 6.
* someone who is passionate about education and driven to achieve exceptional outcomes, particularly for vulnerable learners.
You will:
* have a level of ambition that matches that of the governors, staff and children to embed outstanding practices and take the school on a journey to achieve our full potential.
* lead a skilled teaching team to provide exciting and effective learning opportunities in delivering excellent teaching, including continuous provision and enrichment activities.
* develop leadership capabilities by providing rewarding and impactful opportunities for staff.
* secure consistently high-quality teaching provision.
* ensure that all children are supported to fulfil their potential, including providing additional support to meet the needs of our most vulnerable learners.
* manage and evaluate the effectiveness of the learning environment.
* be an inclusive, transparent and collaborative leader, continuing to drive progress and achievement of all pupils.
* provide vision and transformational leadership to shape and influence the future direction for the school.
* provide strategic, professional and managerial leadership of the school.
In return we can offer:
* a passionate, dedicated and skilled team of teachers and support staff
* well behaved children who are eager and ready to learn
* an opportunity for you to ‘make a difference’ by building on the excellent foundations and progress made in recent years
* excellent resources and a highly attractive working environment for both staff and children
* a warm and welcoming environment and culture
* exciting opportunities for outdoor learning
* an effective, enthusiastic and supportive Governing Board
* a commitment to your professional development
