What's involved with this role: Interim Project Team Member - Target Operating Model Job Ref: Gloucestershire 5255056 Pay Rate: £368.50 per day PAYE Hours per week: 37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours Role Length: This opening assignment is for 5-6 months City: Gloucester, Gloucestershire We are seeking a proactive Project Team Member to join our dynamic team responsible for designing a Service Support Target Operating Model (TOM) and a procurement Sourcing Hub. This role involves gathering data, developing design principles, and facilitating workshops to align stakeholders on key processes, tools, and frameworks for the new models. This team is also responsible for implementation of these models. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a collaborative environment and possess strong analytical and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Gather and analyse data from various sources to understand current service support processes. Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement within the existing operating model. Ensure the accuracy and relevance of all data collected to inform the TOM design process. Assist with the collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and refine guiding design principles for the TOM. Support with ensuring design principles are aligned with strategic business objectives and customer needs. Support in drafting clear, actionable recommendations for process and system improvements. Plan, schedule, and facilitate workshops with key stakeholders to capture input, align on design principles, and validate the proposed operating model. Document outcomes from workshops and ensure they are incorporated into the overall TOM design. Drive consensus and decision-making among stakeholders with varying perspectives. Alongside other team members, work closely with identified stakeholders, to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the design process. Communicate project progress, challenges, and insights to stakeholders through regular updates and reports. Qualifications: Degree in the relevant field. Skills & Experience: Proven experience (2 years) working on projects involving process improvement, service re-design, service support, or operating model design. Experience of working in an Agile or project-based environment. Experience of working in a local Authority / other public sector environment. Project / programme management qualification or equivalent experience. Change management experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex ideas clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Experience in facilitating collaborative workshops, driving alignment, and ensuring productive outcomes. Ability to work effectively within a project team, as well as engage with cross-functional stakeholders. Familiarity with change management principles and how to apply them in the development and implementation of operating models. Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite, Adobe Pro).
