The Role: To provide support to a 10-year-old boy, who has Autism and ADHD. He loves trains and playing on his trampoline. His behaviour can be challenging at times, as he struggles to regulate, and this can cause frustration, and anger. He can communicate his needs, but you must have experience in supporting someone with Autism due to the above.
Main Duties
• To support and play with trains in the family home
• To play and assist with games on his trampoline
• To attend outings in the community (once a relationship has been built)
• To prepare food and drinks when required
• To respond to care needs
• To support and encourage him to be calm when he is unable to regulate
Personal Qualities and Attributes required:
• Respectful of confidentiality and privacy
• Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy
• Respectful of dignity and independence
• Good communication skills and social skills
• Punctual, and flexible
• Experience in Autism is essential
Car owner with driving license and business insurance essential
*This role is a lone working position, and an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) is required for all staff undertaking the role*
Hours: 6 – 10 hours per week, which can be worked flexibility.
Monday – Friday after 16:00
Weekends – any time.
Pay: £11.44 per hour
