Role Overview:
As a Qualified Supply Early Years Assistant, you will be providing essential support across a range of early years settings in South Leeds. You'll work alongside experienced practitioners to support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). Each day is different, and you'll have the chance to work with children of varying ages, helping them reach their full potential in a fun and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support children's learning and development through play-based activities, following the EYFS framework.
2. Assist in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can thrive.
3. Work collaboratively with the nursery team to ensure the highest standards of care are met.
4. Support children with their personal care needs and assist with mealtimes, nappy changing, and other routines.
5. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to promote a sense of community and well-being.
6. Help maintain nursery hygiene and safety standards throughout the day.
About You:
1. You hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent).
2. You have experience working with young children in an early years setting.
3. You have a passion for supporting children's early learning and development.
4. You are flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different working environments.
5. You're enthusiastic, proactive, and able to work well as part of a team.
