Accountable for the Mechanical Maintenance, exceptional service, and store standards across circa 3600 retail sites. driving the maintenance strategy and improvements. Providing support to the Mechanical field teams ensuring a safe, Legal, compliant and functioning estate for customers, retail colleagues & stakeholders. Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence and have these specific risk responsibilities: Periodic review of contractor day to day performance as well as representing the Operations team at contractor performance meetings. Provide the resource and expertise that drives health and safety, compliance and Tactical plans that needs a consistent approach across all regions. Ensuring a consistent approach across processes. Provide daily technical support for all work including escalations that require expert input. Lead the process and technological improvements across this area of the business. Provide technical input for planned maintenance developments & regularly review content and effectiveness. Input into planned maintenance implementation across the technical teams Provide expertise relating to parts holding, obsolete parts and temporary solutions. Driving problem solving, including identifying key and common issues, and developing effective solutions cross functionally. Provide exceptional service and standards, demonstrating clear year on year reductions in our cost lines. Provide a national view of Mechanical compliance and legal issues to senior stakeholders with defined actions for resolutions and improvement in line with relevant British and European standards. Investigate KPI trends and develop plans to deliver year on year improvements. Support Loading Bay, Shutters and Lifts and Escalators delivery and availability targets Support the relevant compliance requirements for Loading Bay, Shutters and Lifts and Escalators Building effective relationships and communicating clearly with stakeholders, managing expectations where required. Leading and implementation of technical improvements and projects across the category Delivering great standards across the estate and ensuring compliance to all internal policies and applicable legislation. Developing and delivering an annual improvement plan. Ensure that the execution and close out of planned maintenance and reactive tasks is to a high professional standard. Engineering Innovation Knowledge of asset life cycle management and maintenance methodologies Hold professional registration.
