The Role of the Clinical Nurse Advisor
7. Responsible to provide education and training on a portfolio of Respiratory, Wound Care, IV therapy and continence products across primary and secondary care customers.
8. Support both the sales team and customers with up to date clinical information relating to their product range, market and therapy area in general.
9. Perform clinical presentations to primary and secondary care personnel.
10. Organise and provide training to both internal staff and external customers.
11. Oversee clinical evaluations within customer environment.
12. Liaise on a clinical basis with prospective and existing customers to monitor clinical satisfaction.
13. Co-ordinate product education and follow-up.
14. Develop an in-depth understanding of the product line through maintaining up to date knowledge of clinical studies/abstracts.
15. Provide the necessary support to enable successful pre/post sale demonstrations and evaluations of the product range.
16. Share best practice and appropriate market intelligence with team colleagues to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
17. Develop good clinical and business relationships with Regional Key Opinion leaders.
18. Attendance at exhibitions and conferences.
19. Region covers West Midlands, East Midlands, and parts of East Anglia

The Ideal Person for the Clinical Nurse Advisor
26. Must have recent or current nursing background, ideally with current PIN but not essential
27. Needs to have good exposure to either Wound Care, Respiratory or IV Therapy.
28. Doesn’t need to be a specialist nurse or have specific qualifications but just needs to be confident and can write and present clinical presentations and have a good deal of understanding having taken the lead for training student nurses on wound care for example.
29. Business/commercial experience is preferred but not essential.
30. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
31. Commercially focused, with ability to identify opportunities, and proactively deliver results.
32. Exceptional listening skills, strong presentation and communication skills.
33. Demonstrate effective time management skills, administrative capabilities and effective written communication capabilities.
34. Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
35. Full driving licence.
