Role Overview: We are seeking a Graduate / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the growing team in Oxford. As a site-based role, the successful candidate will be working on high-value projects, supporting the senior surveying team with all aspects of cost management, from tender stage through to project completion. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate or assistant looking to develop their career in the construction industry. Key Responsibilities: Assist with cost planning and estimating for projects ranging from £20M to £60M Support senior quantity surveyors with the preparation of tender documentation and contracts Monitor project costs and report on variations, changes, and financial performance Conduct site visits and attend project meetings to ensure progress and compliance Help manage subcontractor payments and track invoicing Assist with procurement of materials, subcontractors, and services Ensure projects are completed within budget and assist with cost control measures Maintain accurate records and assist with reporting Key Requirements: A degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) or relevant construction qualification Some experience or a strong interest in the student accommodation, laboratory, or commercial space sectors (placement or internship experience is desirable) Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines Excellent communication and teamwork skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and any quantity surveying software is advantageous A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the profession This role is ideal for a recent graduate or an assistant looking to gain experience on large, exciting projects within a supportive and growing team.
