Our client is currently looking for a Grain Store Assistant to join their close-knit dynamic team at their Ashburton Branch. Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm with some flexibility required to cover seasonal peaks. This role is initially temporary to ensure the right fit for both parties, with the potential to become permanent.
Duties will include:
* Operating equipment for accumulation and dispatch of barley and malt
* Manual labouring lifting seed bags up to 20kg
* Computer data entry and record keeping
* Communication with other branches, contractors and clients
* Working alongside the store supervisor organising: grower contact, sample collection, site visits, inspection of grower crops, silos and records
* Sweeping & shovelling out silos when empty
This global company works alongside Kiwirail and will provide full training for the successful candidate.
The ideal candidate will bring the following experience and attributes:
* A positive sunny attitude
* Confidence using Word and Excel
* Basic mechanical or engineering capabilities
* Self-motivated and physically fit
* Most importantly, you will thrive working as part of a dynamic team
* Clean, Full Driver Licence
* Able to work in confined spaces and at height
