Join our Central Prescribing Team as a Senior Prescribing & Information Analyst and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of prescribing analysis. About the Role As a Senior Prescribing & Information Analyst, you will: Develop and maintain complex data models, reports, and visualisations using tools such as PowerBI and Business Objects. Conduct advanced data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Provide expert insights to inform prescribing strategies and policy development. Lead the surveillance of prescription pricing processes (GP practice prescriptions priced by Practitioner Services Division in NHS National Services Scotland). Develop resources and tools for use in HSCPs to support the review of prescribing to patients to promote safe and cost effective prescribing. Collaborate with clinicians, managers, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable reports. Mentor and develop junior data analysts, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team. What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you will need: Proven Experience: A strong track record as a Data Analyst / Pharmacy Technician, delivering impactful results in a healthcare or related environment. Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in tools such as PowerBI, Business Objects and SQL, with expertise in data manipulation, analysis, and visualisation. Analytical Skills: A deep understanding of data analysis techniques and the ability to identify actionable insights from complex datasets. Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Leadership Abilities: Experience mentoring junior analysts and contributing to team development.
