Job Title: Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager Salary: £60,622 per annum – Band H, Level 3 (Inclusive of Market Supplement and Outer London Weighting) Location: Gilwell Park, Chingford, London (with hybrid working at least two days in the office at Gilwell Park) Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours: 35 We’re looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager to lead our Financial Management team, including business partners and management accountants. You’ll oversee financial planning (budgets, forecasts), produce performance reports, and analyse variances. You’ll work closely with budget holders, providing financial insights and support, while also managing financial systems, project accounting, and performance analytics. You’ll lead a team of three, driving collaboration and high performance, and ensure finance training is provided across the organisation. Key responsibilities Lead and manage the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring in collaboration with business partners and stakeholders. Develop financial reports, variance analysis, and business insights to support decision-making and ensure financial compliance across the organisation. Drive financial modelling, strategic analysis, and performance analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that impact organisational goals. Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, support month-end close, and ensure the effectiveness of financial systems such as Workday Adaptive Planning. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering collaboration and providing ongoing training and guidance. Proven leadership in setting vision, developing strategy, and articulating the bigger picture. Skilled at presenting complex topics clearly, making decisions, and influencing senior stakeholders. Ability to communicate finance effectively to support decision-making and drive change. Part-qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with senior financial management experience and a proven record of success. Driven, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement, building relationships, and supporting the development of young people.
