An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong mainstream Teaching Assistant who is happy to also work with pupils with SEN in a large school with a Primary, Secondary, and Sixth form. The school has classes of up to 30 pupils, including those with SEN.
The Role
In this role, you will be working in classes of up to 30 pupils, some of whom will have SEN. The school is looking for someone who is flexible and willing to occasionally move to different classrooms. You will also be expected to work with the pupils with SEN within the classroom.
You will primarily work with the Secondary School, supporting the class teacher in assessing and evidencing learning, as well as creating stimulating learning environments, including resources and displays. The role is varied, requiring adaptability, the ability to cope in a high-pressure environment, and the capability to manage constantly changing priorities.
The school ideally seeks a teaching assistant with previous experience and a dedicated approach to fulfilling the needs of pupils. The ability to motivate pupils towards high achievement is essential. Excellent teamwork, classroom, and communication skills are vital.
