About the Role
The Vendor Management Coordinator plays a key role in supporting procurement, contract administration, and vendor performance for Local Government Partnerships. This position ensures the smooth operation of third-party contracts, maintains strong supplier relationships, and assists in managing procurement processes in line with corporate policies.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, you will support purchasing activities, monitor service performance, and help drive efficiencies in procurement and vendor management.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the main point of contact for routine services provided through third-party contracts

Assist in procurement activities, including contract renewals, sourcing, and compliance with corporate procurement policies

Provide guidance on procurement processes and best practices to internal teams

Monitor vendor performance, track service quality, and escalate issues when needed

Process purchase requests, ensure timely approvals, and manage invoicing cycles

Maintain up-to-date contract records and databases

Support financial processes by ensuring invoices are correctly processed and reporting outstanding payments

Prepare monthly reports on vendor performance, procurement activities, and service issues

Attend meetings with vendors, customers, and internal teams to provide updates on procurement and vendor management activities
Skills & Experience

Excellent attention to detail and strong customer service skills
-
Minimum GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or equivalent)
-
Experience in procurement, purchasing, or vendor management is beneficial
-
Knowledge of IT purchasing processes is an advantage
-
Familiarity with SAP Guided Buying, SAP ECC, and P2P systems is preferred

Additional Information
This is a remote role, with occasional travel to Peterborough, Hertford, and Lincoln as required. Training and meetings will primarily take place via Microsoft Teams.
