We’re seeking a Director of Education for an exciting new senior leadership position. This role is crucial for setting the direction and quality of our organisation's educational programs. Our successful candidate will oversee, enhance, and innovate these programs to ensure high standards and significant growth within our Communities and Education division. You’ll foster an environment where teachers, support staff, and learners can thrive. You’ll lead on the development and implementation of our educational strategy and be accountable for the effectiveness and the performance of delivery. You’ll act as the designated Safeguarding Lead and be responsible for shaping and influencing innovative curriculum development. We’re looking for someone that has a proven track record of delivering and leading education services over multiple sites and has extensive experience of operating successfully within a senior leadership team. Subject to contract award and your notice period, you may be mobilising and running a multi-site education delivery operation at scale from April 2025, or to a smaller number of education-based services where you will be expected to focus more on growing our high-quality education business. Key Responsibilities: • Lead on the development and implementation of the Organisation’s educational strategy, aligning it with overall goals and objectives of the business to deliver sustainable, innovative and profitable market growth. • Lead all educational provision within the Communities and Education business area. • Be fully accountable for the effectiveness and the performance of delivery, ensuring that a culture of performance management is embedded within delivery, with clear objectives and KPIs set and regularly monitored. • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Communities and Education, and potentially for the whole of Seetec Group. • Responsible for shaping and influencing innovative and high-quality curriculum development. Including overseeing the design, delivery, and evaluation of curriculum and instructional materials, ensuring that educational programs meet regulatory and accreditation standards. • Lead the design and delivery of learner-focused services to deliver lifelong educational and learning outcomes for learners of all ages that will achieve the contract priorities. Skills and Experience: Qualifications: • Qualified to degree level or equivalent with a relevant management or professional qualification • QTS or QTLS desirable • Full driving licence Experience: Essential • A proven track record of delivering and leading education services over multiple sites, with extensive experience of operating successfully within a senior leadership team, shaping and influencing innovative and high-quality practice. • Ability to maintain a customer-focused approach, building working partnerships with others to foster effective joint working, based on collaboration and cooperation to deliver joined up services or programmes. • Extensive senior stakeholder management. • Extensive senior experience of performance improvement in education services. • A comprehensive knowledge of the national and political context in which skills and education services operate, including current and future challenges and opportunities. • Significant experience in educational leadership, curriculum development, and staff management.
