The Specialist Operations Branch is made up of around 1,000 police officers and staff.
The Central Ticket Office is responsible for the procedural, administration and processing of Road Safety Camera offences, fixed penalties and Traffic Offence Reports (TOR's).
The Judicial Processing Assistant plays a key role in the Central Ticket Office, supporting Teams and Team Leaders with administrative functions in the processing of Specified Road Traffic Offences. This includes conducting checks on the process and progress of court files on various systems, ensuring information is laid to the courts in a timely manner, as well as allocating court dates.
This role includes preparing statements of facts and disseminating information to the relevant departments or officer in the case. Staff will carry out administrative duties such as photocopying, filing and dissemination of files to specified locations such as pre-hearings & the CPS.
A candidate is sought who is able to take personal responsibility for managing their own and others' workloads and providing assistance to any team member or team leaders. They must be able to work with the minimum of supervision and be willing to learn new procedures and adapt to new technology.
Good interpersonal skills are required to enable the post-holder to work closely with staff, managers, and all other internal and external customers to achieve desired outcomes.
This role is based at Hyde Police Station and will be rewarding for the right applicant.
