The role
We are looking for an experienced administrator to play a key role in the smooth running of examinations at Bromley High School.
As an Examinations Officer, you will build and maintain an annual exam timetable for each exam season, and will communicate this calendar to staff, candidates and parents. You will maintain a candidate-centred internal tracking system for entries, access arrangements, coursework, estimated grades, special consideration and results, as well as signatures for audit purposes and spreadsheets for candidate data. In addition to this, you will also manage and deploy a team of external exam invigilators, ensuring that a sound invigilation structure for each exam room is in place.
About you
You will be a personable and well-organised individual, with substantial administrative experience in a complex organisation. You will possess excellent ICT skills and will be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel) and database input. Strong numeracy skills, including the ability to deal with statistical data is essential, along with excellent communication skills and a good telephone manner.
Although this is a term time only role, you will be required to work 12 closure days during the school holidays. Due to the seasonal nature of examinations, you will also need considerable flexibility with regard to working hours in the summer term.
