Road Freight Business Development Manager
Salary: £45K-£55K + 6% Commission + Car Allowance
Location: Bradford

A successful Global multi-site Freight Forwarder is looking for a Business Development Manager for the North East region due to a retirement within the team. The company is excellent at looking after their people and offers great progression opportunities.
The successful Business Development Manager will:
1. Have worked for a Freight Forwarder.
2. Have experience in Key Accounts Management or Sales.
3. Be responsible for the identification, acquisition, development, and retention of a customer base within the European Road Freight.
The Package:
1. £45K – £55K basic - depending on experience
2. Private health care
3. Impressive bonus structure – 6%
4. Car Allowance or company car
5. Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
6. 25 Days holiday plus Banks
7. Company pension
The Business Development Manager Role:
1. Field-based with one day a week in the office.
2. Manage your own diary and develop your own portfolio of opportunities.
3. Arrange own meetings and prospect for new business.
4. Negotiate sales (price, costs, delivery, and specifications) with buyers and close the sale.
5. Effectively interact with the Operations team.
Requirements:
1. MUST have Freight Operations or Sales experience.
2. Skilled at Freight quotations and rate negotiations.
3. An excellent communicator both written and verbally.
4. Excellent IT skills.
