Our client is one of the world’s largest OEM manufacturers with manufacturing sites worldwide, including a large production facility in the North East. They are currently looking for a 1st Line IT Support to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant contribution to the organisation. Reporting to the ICT Group Manager Service & Operations, you will be the first point of contact for all European ICT issues logged in the Service Desk System.
Salary
£24,000 - £26,500 per annum, depending on experience

About the role
As 1st Line IT Support, you will be responding and resolving IT-related issues such as software, hardware, or network problems.
Key responsibilities for the 1st Line IT Support include:
Set up, modify, and deactivate user accounts in systems like Active Directory.
Support the installation, configuration, and updating of software.
Provide clear updates and explanations to users regarding issue resolution.
Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
Perform basic repairs or coordinate with vendors for hardware replacements.
Track IT assets, ensuring the organisation’s devices and peripherals are accounted for.
Contribute to improving workflows and service desk processes.
Ensure users have the correct access permissions according to security policies.
Follow data protection regulations (GDPR, SOX) and safeguard sensitive information.
Participate in ICT projects where required under the guidance of Project Managers and Systems Engineers.
About you
The successful 1st Line IT Support will have an IT-related NVQ level 3 or at least one years’ experience in a similar role, with good technical knowledge.
