Mechanic

We are a specialist contractor who OEMs call on to support their vehicle projects. This can range from carefully planned and executed launch support projects to very reactive quality campaigns. We are looking for skilled and experienced Mechanics to join our team supporting our customers on an ongoing contract basis. The Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults on the customers' vehicles in preparation for sale.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Inspecting and repairing vehicles
2. Engine removal and re-fitment of engine to vehicle
3. Experience of working in a workshop on passenger vehicles is required
4. Perform restorative and preventative work on gears, brakes, engine, air conditioning, security features, fuel pump, etc.
5. Using diagnostic equipment
6. Replacing faulty parts
Mechanic Requirements:
1. IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle repair or equivalent is essential
2. Proven work experience as a Mechanic (minimum 3 years)
3. Good manual dexterity
4. Able to follow instructions
5. Good communication skills
6. Excellent knowledge about motor technology
7. Methodical and organised
8. Good concentration
9. Able to work to strict deadlines
10. Strong interest in motor vehicles
11. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
12. Comprehensive selection of appropriate tooling
Possible weekend overtime with premium rate. Rate is from £15.00 to £24.94 per hour. Ongoing contract paid limited company or via umbrella company - Outside of IR35.
