Job Description:
RPS has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Utilities Inspector to work within the Asset Management team. The role involves inspecting and providing feedback on the condition of assets and infrastructure to support the goals of the Water Consulting Business Stream across the UK.
This is a growth area for RPS, exemplified by recent opportunities such as the Scottish Water Asset Inspection framework.
About The Team:
RPS Water Consulting comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts delivering Asset Management and Operational Strategy services to water industry clients. Our industry is evolving, offering challenges and opportunities that require innovation, dedication, and teamwork.
Our Water Consultancy is engaged in prestigious AMP8 programmes leading into AMP9 and beyond, offering long-term career stability.
About You:
You will be a key member of our team, working alongside water project experts on various capital delivery projects. Joining us means contributing to impactful projects and working with leading water companies, making a positive difference in communities across the UK.
Your Responsibilities:
* Inspect and report on water and sewage infrastructure assets.
* Prepare inspection reports.
* Capture features and information related to health & safety measures and structural conditions.
* Perform additional tasks aligned with the Asset Management framework.
* Follow policies and procedures.
* Meet KPIs and support business growth.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Experience in civil/structural engineering inspection and water site work is preferred.
* Knowledge of health and safety practices.
* Experience inspecting structural features, pipe bridges, and pipelines is beneficial.
* Skills in civil/structural engineering inspection from other utilities are also considered.
* Proficiency in IT and familiarity with MS 365 suite is essential.
