Your opportunity
As the demand for our expertise continues to grow, we now have an opportunity for a Senior Architect to join our team in Winchester. You will be supporting high profile projects across a range of sectors at our offices in Winchester.
We are an AJ100 architecture practice and a significant part of a multi-disciplinary design practice. Our design portfolio is world class, and we are currently working on several exciting new projects including advanced manufacturing, Science, Healthcare, Education, Defence, and Workplace projects which results in a diverse, growing, and exciting practice. We work across the UK and internationally, where we both design and deliver a range of projects in terms of scale and sector.
We are known for our collaborative and consultative approach, integrated multi-disciplinary design philosophy, and technical excellence. We pride ourselves in applying these skills when designing and delivering environments to enhance human activities and experiences.
What you need to do to be effective in this role
* Support junior colleagues to seek the highest standards and support the innovation of our deliverables.
* Recognise the importance of our client base and develop strong working relationships through your project leadership.
* Lead team members on projects and offer the latest advice and expertise through your own continued professional development.
* Demonstrate the value of architects to projects and be seen as an integral part of the project team.
* Strong design and technical detailing skills – Revit experience would be beneficial.
* Ability to express ideas effectively, orally, graphically, and in writing.
* Experience in preparing technical drawings packages and specifications.
* Provide a practical and methodical approach to solving problems, working to fixed budgets, and within deadlines.
* Manage planning applications and Building Regulations.
* Inspect building work on site.
* Knowledge of UK best practice standards.
* Develop customer relationships to find additional opportunities to address their challenges.
* Assist in Business Development.
The skills and experience you need to have for this role
Experience of working on large scale residential master planning projects is desirable but not essential. Candidates must ensure the highest design quality throughout all projects and be able to work efficiently and diligently to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail and high standards of work. Your talent, creativity, and excellent communication skills will create a wide scope for personal and career development in a dynamic and growing business.
