Axcis Education are recruiting on behalf of a well-established secondary school in Altrincham seeking a dedicated and proactive Behaviour Mentor to join their team ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in behaviour support to play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
1. Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs and those exhibiting challenging behaviours.
2. Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to implement behaviour management strategies.
3. Build positive relationships with students to promote engagement, resilience, and confidence.
4. Support students both inside and outside the classroom, helping them achieve their full potential academically and socially.
5. Assist in developing and delivering interventions and behaviour support plans tailored to individual student needs.
What We Are Looking For:
1. Previous experience in a similar role within a school setting, youth club, or related environment.
2. A strong understanding of SEMH and strategies for supporting challenging behaviours.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students quickly.
4. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting young people.
5. A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
