Finance Assistant

I’m supporting a fantastic business based in the city centre of Manchester looking for a Finance Assistant to join their Finance Team.

Responsibilities in the role:
* Assist in processing invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
* Maintain records of financial transactions in the company’s system.
* Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
* Processing of leasing proposals and submissions for funder approval.
* Processing of leasing documents into fund flow documents.
Data Management:
* Maintain and update financial databases and records.
* Ensure proper filing and organisation of financial documents.
* Verify the accuracy of financial data entered into the accounting system.
Support in Auditing:
* Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Vendor and Client Relations:
* Liaise with vendors and clients for payment issues, discrepancies, or contract-related queries.
* Assist in reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Previous experience in finance operations.
* Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Xero, Microsoft Excel, etc.).
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
