Job Description
* Understand all sources of firm cost and the end-to-end process for expense recognition and measurement costs.
* Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual cost closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
* Scrutinise financial data to identify potential savings and areas of improvement.
* Develop cost-effective strategies and action plans.
* Collaborate with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
* Ensure cost reduction without compromising quality or service.
* Keep abreast of industry trends and regulations.
* Implement cost standards for products and services.
* Review purchase orders and invoices.
* Prepare and present cost reports to senior management.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Cost Controller should have:
* Professional accountancy qualification, Eg, ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, etc
* Proficiency in financial software.
* Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* A thorough understanding of financial regulations and procedures.
* Experience in a similar role in the Financial Services industry.
