Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Repairs Supervisor with plumbing background to join our team, overseeing reactive and planned maintenance within the social housing sector. This role involves managing a team of operatives and subcontractors to ensure that all repairs and maintenance work is completed to the highest standards while delivering excellent customer service to residents.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate responsive and voids maintenance within tenanted and vacant properties.
2. Manage and support a team of operatives, ensuring productivity and high-quality workmanship.
3. Conduct property inspections, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and in line with health & safety regulations.
4. Work closely with housing officers, contractors, and tenants to resolve repair issues promptly.
5. Monitor performance, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are met.
6. Plan and allocate workloads, ensuring cost-effective and timely completion of jobs.
7. Ensure compliance with housing regulations and company policies.
8. Maintain records, complete reports, and provide updates to senior management.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor within social housing.
2. Strong knowledge of housing maintenance, voids, and repairs.
3. Trade background preferred (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, electrical, or multi-trade).
4. Excellent leadership and people management skills.
5. Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance.
6. Ability to liaise effectively with tenants, contractors, and stakeholders.
