We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant who has experience of working in a GP Practice to join the team at Hawthorn Surgery.
Our aim is to always provide excellent care to our patient population.
The hours are negotiable. However, flexibility is essential as you will be required to cover for holiday and sickness on occasions. Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant working in General practice is essential. An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.

* Ensure clinical system is kept up to date with accurate details

* Ensure all patient details are recorded in correct format on the correct patient record

2. Driving will be required to enable the HCA to carry out home visits as requested by the practice. The employee should have a full clean driving licence.

Hawthorn Surgery has a list size of 6800 patients and is a busy, forward-thinking Training Practice. We are based in Wortley Beck Health Centre, a purpose-built Health Centre in Lower Wortley, Leeds 12 which has free on-site parking. 5. Dressings specific types of dressings following a detailed Nurse assessment
6. Dopplers Assisting with the procedure

8. Shingles immunisations

10. Pneumonia immunisations
11. Removal of sutures/clips
12. Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses
13. Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment
14. Vaccine/cold chain storage and monitoring
15. Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
16. Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
17. Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations
18. Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
19. Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE grade A - C in English and Maths
* Qualified in phlebotomy
* The Care Certificate or to complete within 6 months of joining
Experience
* Experience of working in a GP surgery as a Healthcare Assistant
* Good time management
* Punctuality
* Flexibility to work outside core hours when requested
* Ability to work under pressure and in stressful situations
* Full clean driving licence and access to vehicle
* Familiar with Systm One
