This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role requiring strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills. You'll be responsible for overseeing a team of Coordinators, managing escalations, ensuring service excellence, and optimising operational efficiency. Flexibility is essential, as the role may involve early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekend support to meet the demands of a 24/7 logistics environment. Key responsibilities: Represent DX in a professional manner at all times Follow all aspects of DX Manual Handling, Safe Working and Health and Safety policies Lead by example and represent DX in a professional manner at all times. Support, coach, and mentor the Same Day team to deliver consistent and outstanding customer service. Manage customer escalations and operational issues with urgency and professionalism. Liaise with both in-house and third-party couriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery solutions. Monitor team performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety, Manual Handling, and Safe Working practices. Maintain oversight of POD collection, courier validations, and customer communications. Support with rota planning and provide cover when needed - working hours may vary depending on operational requirements. Work closely with the wider DX network to maintain service standards and manage peak or high-pressure periods effectively Pro-active approach to duties, maintain a high level of customer contact and monitoring of movements / deliveries. Observe DX procedures and policies at all times Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Good geographical knowledge Strong communications skills Preferable previous experience working in traffic, warehousing or logistics IT literate with high competence in all Microsoft office applications, working from multiple screens.
