If yes, we have an opportunity for you to join our high performing ‘Non-Standard’ workstream as a Technical Administrator. We play an important role in supporting Scottish Water to look after Scotland’s most precious natural resource, by providing several services, but this team specifically takes a proactive approach in boosting the resilience of the wastewater pipe network. The Role As a Technical Administrator this is your opportunity to be there at the beginning, mapping out what resources (people/equipment) are needed, where and when, to safely achieve completion of works, in a cost and time effective manner. You will be liaising with clients and colleagues to ensure all requirements and expectations are clearly defined. These requirements will then need to be translated into concise work instructions to avoid any misunderstanding. Here are some of the activities you will be involved in Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure requirements are understood and fully documented Planning work activities for operational teams Updating and maintaining records, ensuring activities are on-track Monitoring the work activities from inception to completion, providing regular programme updates to stakeholders Acting as the first point of contact for operational colleagues, assisting with finding resolutions to issues Processing and submitting Traffic Management, footway/road closure notices and permit requests and their closures We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate… Previous relevant work experience where you have fully utilised your highly developed organisational and communication skills is essential. A meticulous eye for detail, combined with the confidence to ask questions, is also important. Computer literacy at an intermediate level across MS Office is a prerequisite, along with the ability to learn quickly. While prior experience in construction, utilities, plant, or similar fields would be beneficial, it is not essential for the role.
