We are now recruiting a qualified and experienced Pre-School Room Leader/Senior Early Years Practitioner to join our busy and expanding team based in our beautiful setting in Calne, Wiltshire.
We are looking for that special person who has a ‘child centred approach’ with excellent organisation skills and a passion to deliver high quality childcare for early years children. We are looking for someone with:
* Minimum Level 3 early years qualification
* Educated to GCSE or equivalent
* Proven managerial or room lead experience of at least 2 years
* Sound knowledge of the EYFS and current Ofsted regulations
* Extensive safeguarding knowledge
* Excellent organisational skills with good IT knowledge.
The successful candidate will be required to:
* Maintain a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of
children and young people within the setting.
* Deliver a consistently high standard of EY learning and teaching in line with
the nursery ethos, policies and curriculum.
* Be responsible for ensuring that the observation and planning process within
your room meets the needs of all children and their interests and for
managing all areas of your room.
* Understand the requirements and legislation concerning Equal
Opportunities, Health & Safety
* Deal with child protection matters appropriately, respond to incidents and
emergencies effectively
* Support the Directors and Managers to provide professional leadership and
management of the nursery and staff
* Undertake appraisals and supervisions, write reports and ensure accurate
records are maintained
* Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are always maintained.

* Have excellent verbal, communication and written skills and able to perform
under stress
* Be flexible, patient, kind and caring with the ability to build strong, supportive
relationships with children, parents/carers and staff.
* Be an active ‘hands-on’ member of the team providing training and guidance
where necessary.

This is a full-time position covering shifts from 7.30am – 6pm, Monday to Friday on a rota basis. However, we may consider part-time/term time only for the right applicant.
