Position description This is an exciting opportunity to join our Special Vehicle Engineering team to develop special vehicles based on the commercial vehicle product line-up. Based in Dagenham the position relies on a high level of collaboration with the special vehicle development team and the end user to develop proposals that support their individual use case requirements and delivering them with industry leading uptime and improving customer satisfaction. Skills required Knowledge of development, implementation, and management of vehicle parts sourcing using both corporate and ad-hoc systems Knowledge of performing due diligence for supplier sourcing, ensuring all suppliers support standards Knowledge of supply chain route setups working with internal logistics support to gain efficiency where possible Manage internal stock, ensuring counts are up to date to protect the build program. Monitor and develop roadmaps for supply chain improvements, implementing them and coaching the team through the change. Responsible for managing the Change process, ensuring zero obsolescence through change Liaison with vehicle-based MP&L and purchasing functions to ensure base vehicle changes are considered within the Special Vehicle. Education/Experience required Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing. Working knowledge of corporate-based MP&L programs and software packages A high level of presentation and communication to senior execs Special Vehicle/prototype parts sourcing, procurement, and delivery experience Additional Information Based in Dagenham 9-month contract, year-end renewals Inside IR35 5 days on-site
