Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our growing Transport team as a Transport Operator. The primary focus is on executing transportation plans efficiently, making informed decisions in real-time, and ensuring accurate communication. Key duties include adjusting plans based on provided information to cover factory clearance, inbound collections, and outbound work. The role involves meticulous attention to detail in performing administrative traffic duties, monitoring schedules proactively, and escalating issues for a seamless process. Responsibilities also include promptly communicating vehicle accident details to line management and achieving weekly and monthly KPIs in accordance with business and Customer Service Level Agreements. Utilising IT-based systems, including TMS and tracking screens, is integral to ensuring the accuracy of live changes and efficient delivery of duties. Successful candidates will contribute to the team's success by maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Location: Corby site.
Shift pattern: 4 on 4 day night shift pattern 42hrs average per week (18:00-06:00).
Salary: DOE.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Make real-time adjustments to transportation plans based on new information, ensuring factory clearance, inbound collections, and outbound deliveries are effectively managed.
2. Perform administrative traffic duties with high accuracy and professionalism.
3. Monitor transportation schedules in advance, proactively addressing potential issues to ensure smooth operations.
4. Escalate and report vehicle accidents promptly to line management.
5. Meet weekly and monthly performance targets (KPIs) in alignment with business goals and Customer Service Level Agreements, escalating issues as necessary.
6. Utilise IT systems such as Transport Management Systems (TMS) and tracking screens to ensure system accuracy and efficient operations.
7. Ensure all live changes are accurately reflected in the system for seamless tracking and reporting.
Requirements:
1. CPC Qualification.
2. Experience in transport operations.
3. Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
