We have an exciting opportunity for a Streetworks Manager to join the Water Service Delivery team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Where you fit in:
As our Streetworks Manager you will:
* Drive excellent standards and performance in health and safety, risk management and control of work and ensure compliance with the YW Safety Policy.
* Maintain strong performance and compliance of YW and its contractors in relation to street works legislation and associated codes of practice.
* Lead change/continuous improvement activity required to improve performance or maintain compliance.
* Facilitate the effective delivery of YW operations by leveraging relationships across YW, contractors and local authorities.
* Safeguard YW's commercial interests by appropriately challenging fines, charges, fees, and related street works costs.
* Accurately report financial and performance data in relation to YW's street works activities and identify opportunities for improvements and efficiencies.
* Engage with peers across the industry (e.g. WASCs, other utilities, trade associations, local authorities, etc.) to share best practice and understand the changing regulatory landscape.
* Ensure YW understands its obligations/risks/opportunities in relation to Streetworks activity and contribute to annual business planning / Price Review processes.
* Lead a team that is responsible for a diverse set of activities, including:
o Streetworks performance & compliance
o Street Furniture Inspections
o Environmental Performance & Compliance in relation to R&M activity
What skills & qualifications you will need:
* Understands YW's regulatory framework, performance targets and what drives performance.
* Has a track record of delivering strong, sustained performance (including H&S performance) in a leadership role.
* Experience working with and meeting financial and performance targets.
* Experience working in a commercially orientated and/or regulated environment.
* Experience managing compliance in a regulated industry.
* Confidently engages with and influences internal and external stakeholders.
* Can understand and help others understand complex laws/regulations/codes of practice.
You will also benefit from having:
* Understanding and experience of working with Streetworks legislation/regulations (e.g. NRSWA, Red Book, SRoH).
* Previous experience gained within the water or wastewater sectors or within the broader utilities, process or manufacturing industry sectors.
