The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Edge & Telecoms Projects team to recruit a Field Service and Installation Engineer. The duties involve significant UK travel and working away from home, Monday to Friday and some weekends. The hours of work will be between 8.00 – 17.00 daily, overtime will be required on top of this to complete the work or tidy up site.
The Role
The role will involve:
* Ensuring Airedale and other manufacturers products are installed, commissioned and serviced correctly to operate as designed.
* Provide detailed typed reports with good grammar and spelling, complete with photographic evidence, after each site visit within 2 working days of the survey date.
* Consider and advise the office of best cooling solution for individual sites, ensuring they would fit physically and not cause any noise complaints from surrounding areas.
* Liaise with the office when on site to update on progress particularly when lone working.
* Ensure that commissioning sheets and hand over packs are provided within 5 working days of the installation.
* Keep all your equipment within the AIAC calibration programme, look after tools, PPE and keep vans organised and tidy.
* Ensure F-Gas requirements are adhered to.
* Keep up to date with new technology e.g. R32 hydrocarbons training.
* Have or be prepared to develop your brazing skills to CAT II standard.
* Keeping up to date with new site access and safety requirements.
* Looking after client keys and access cards.
* Comply with all Health and Safety regulations, carry out dynamic risk assessments and ensure area is safe to work before undertaking any tasks.
As an on site representative for Airedale working and liasing closely with customers and clients it is important that you are able to work to a high standard of accuracy and be professional at all times
Desired Skills/Experience
The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:
* Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, both internally and externally.
* Must be able to work on one’s own initiative and in small teams.
* Electrical and Mechanical knowledge.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
* A clean driving licence is essential for this role (the role includes a Company van).
