Role & Responsbilties H9 Technical Recruitment are partnered with a leading Energy & Reccyling clinet who are looking to identify an Outage & Projects Engineer. As a National Outage and Projects Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of the scheduled outage activities, engineering and maintenance for the fleet with primary focus on the Runcorn facility. To ensure optimal long-term availability of the plant, to preserve the value of the assets and to meet set health and safety, environmental and financial targets. The Outage Engineer is responsible for efficient planning and execution of maintenance activities associated with planned and unplanned outages across the ERF fleet Skills & Qualifictions Extensive knowledge of mechanical maintenance and engineering within the process or power plants industry. Knowledge of pressure parts legislation including inspection, repair methods and steam turbine maintenance and support. Ability to understand the root cause and provide an effective engineering solution. Experience in Outage Management to successfully deliver work packages to deadlines. Computer literate with the ability to analyse data, draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations. Experience managing contractors to deliver agreed Key Perfomance Indicators (KPI's). Effective team working, encouraging and motivational skills. Experience in working within Permit to Work and Safe System of Work environments i.e. plant isolations and safety systems. Experience in working with Preventative Maintenance Systems and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems. Knowledge of the creation of detailed scopes of work / Engineering Specifications ready to be sent out to tender. A demonstrable no-compromise approach to Health & Safety legislation ideally relevant to process or power industry. Possess Engineering qualifications with a minimum of HNC. IOSH or equivalent safety qualification. Good communication and report writing skills. Exposure to an energy from waste (EfW) facility/power stations and knowledge of the process would be advantageous and preferred. Ability to travel to other sites during outage
