* Provide administrative support by undertaking a range of administrative tasks such as file movement and tracking, logging correspondence, monitoring electronic inboxes, issuing letters, serving decisions, dealing with complaints and customer enquiries.
* Scanning and digitising customer supporting evidence and updating relevant databases/files.
* Making and demonstrating well-judged decisions.
* Prepare and make case files decision ready for casework, or for appeals or removal processes.
* Work closely with colleagues and contribute to maintaining comprehensive support to the DMU.
* Additional duties within the scope of the grade may vary depending on business needs.
Essential skills and experience:
* Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Time management, including ensuring that you complete and record your allotted daily working hours accurately.
* Organisational skills, including the ability to identify and prioritise urgent work.
* Being flexible and adaptable, reacting positively to changes in policies, processes, and work environments.
* Taking responsibility for effective personal and team delivery.
Desirable skills and experience:
* Experience in workflow duties including data entry activities and providing administrative support at various stages of the customer journey to ensure delivery of an efficient service.
Training:
Training is a 2-week period: Monday- Friday 09:00 AM- 05:00 PM and office-based.
