The role will focus on building a secure trusting relationship with children and will involve both, support with children with a range of SEN needs and general classroom support. You will have a flexible, “can do” attitude and it will be obvious you take pride in your work. The successful candidate will need to be a team player but also able to use their own initiative. You will have previous experience within a nursery school or similar setting and have a Level 3 qualification in childcare. Previous experience with working with pupils with autism, social, emotional and behaviour difficulties is desirable You will need a good knowledge and understanding of The Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, how to support learning and building effective relationships with children, staff and parents. You will lead the room, including planning and other activities to support learning outcomes. With good interpersonal and communication skills, you will be organised, flexible and have the presence to inspire confidence and trust so as to develop and nurture independence. Previous experience with working in Early Years is essential.
