Commercial Analyst
Due to growth, our Tamworth-based client is looking for a Commercial Analyst to join their team. The role focuses on supporting the commercial department through data management, product analysis, and stock control.
Key Responsibilities:
* Gathering and analysing market data to assist in product launches and performance reviews.
* Tracking product performance to ensure alignment with business targets.
* Managing slow-moving and obsolete stock by analysing stock turnover and proposing corrective actions.
* Identifying products at risk of obsolescence.
* Maintaining customer pricing files, handling promotions, and managing pricing adjustments.
* Evaluating the commercial viability of new products, ensuring they meet target costs, pricing, and margin goals.
* Providing support across the commercial department and covering other tasks as needed.

Details:
* Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
* Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
* Location: Tamworth (on site)
* Duration: Permanent
Role of Commercial Analyst:
* Market Data Harvesting - work with the external sales team to gain reliable market data for product launches and performance reviews.
* Develop and maintain effective methods of storing and analysing relevant market information.
* Product Performance Analysis - track and report on the progress of new & existing products against targets.
* Slow & Obsolete Stock - review stock levels vs. turnover and propose corrective actions.
* System Data Maintenance - manage customer price files, including promotions and pricing adjustments.
* Stock Management - review stock levels against forecasts and performance, generating reports for management.
* New Product Validation - review the commercial viability of new products focusing on pricing, costs, and margin expectations.
* Support the entire Commercial Department and cover all areas when needed.
