Our RCIT team investigate significant breaches of maritime legislation, including the prosecution of offenders when such action has been authorised.
As Business Support Officer, you will provide the business support function to RCIT. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of compliance and enforcement activities.
In this role you will raise the profile of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) as the UK Maritime Authority, and assist the Assistant Director and Deputy Head of RCIT in meeting the overall aims of the team.
This interesting role provides an opportunity to develop a range of invaluable Project Delivery skills for future career progression.
As Business Support Officer, your key duties and responsibilities will include:
* Managing RCIT's transactional finance activities, preparing purchase requests, raising purchase orders, goods receipting, and managing the Government Procurement Card (GPC) card.
* Scheduling and organising internal and external team meetings, preparing agendas and attending meetings and minute taking as required.
* Creating, maintaining and cleansing data records in the Database and providing analytical reports/products.
* Generating and maintaining monthly, quarterly and annual executive reports of RCIT business to support strategy and planning.
* Responding to all inquiries, RCIT mailbox management, providing information to stakeholders, and ensuring a high level of customer service and continuous improvement.
