From ideation to cultural embedment, we will work with the organisation to ensure that high quality Defence infrastructure and customer service is delivered more quickly, efficiently and effectively with limited impact to frontline staff. Summary of the Role The Senior Business Analyst supports the Enterprise Architect in providing an integrated view of the organisation, using a reputable approach, cohesive framework and available industry standard techniques, building a bridge between the strategic plan of a business and the actual day-to-day function of the business. The Senior Business Analyst will lead on providing business analysis and architectural support for medium complexity change activities and will be responsible for maintaining clearly defined architectural artefacts and viewpoints reflecting business services, products and organisational structural for business areas across DIO. They will also support the Enterprise Architect in the delivery of highly complex projects. The Senior Business Analyst will lead the development of problem statements, undertake root cause analysis, developing current and future state views and undertake impact assessments and gap analysis. They will work closely with their counterparts across Business Improvement and within technology and data architecture to ensure alignment in approaches and outputs. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Job description The Senior Business Analyst must have a good understanding of the business and how it operates. They will also have an awareness of architecture frameworks (such as TOGAF) and the relationships between artefacts. They will also regularly work with an artefact repository Architecture Modelling tool such as BizzDesign Enterprise Studio and use architecture notation such as ArchiMate. They will understand the business architecture design process and play a key role in the performance of that process by supporting the Enterprise Architect. The Senior Business Analyst will oversee the planning, administration and running of events and workshops using existing skill sets in stakeholder management, requirement elicitation and business modelling and will also work with the Enterprise Architect to synthesise the outputs following stakeholder engagement events. At this level, you will be expected to: identify and management stakeholder relationships; work independently; have a good understanding of your own work area; advance the business analyst community through the sharing of best practice and mentoring of others.
