Main Purpose of the Job:
The Head of Operations is responsible for leading and coordinating the delivery of integrated customer services, ensuring that all aspects of window cleaning, specialist cleaning, and associated soft services align with EcoKleen’s high standards of sustainability, safety, and quality. This is a great opportunity for a proven and established head of ops to make an impact; and receive an equity stake in the business as part of the job offering.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Coordination: Provide strong leadership to the team for the effective coordination and seamless delivery of customer services.
2. Operational Oversight: Manage core areas of responsibility, including window cleaning services, specialist cleaning operations, and additional soft service operations as needed. In addition, having a strong ability to lead operational phase in for multi services.
3. Financial Accountability: Take full ownership of the financial performance related to the operations. Lead monthly contract reviews and develop capital expenditure proposals aligned with business objectives. Taking ownership of developing costings and operational solutions for new multi-service operations.
4. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations adhere to Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) management systems.
5. Performance Management: Develop and maintain Performance Service Level Specifications (PSLS) and Performance Service Level Agreements (PSLA), including relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
6. Training and Development: Create training and development plans for team members and establish job interchangeability and buddy systems for operational resilience.
7. Auditing and Reporting: Conduct regular audits and review meetings with clients and internal teams to evaluate service quality and operational effectiveness. Also taking the lead in producing and presenting operational reports and performance dashboards for clients.
8. Communication and Team Engagement: Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with direct reports and facilitate team briefings to promote engagement and ensure alignment with company goals.
Essential Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Extensive experience in a leadership role within the window cleaning, specialist cleaning, or soft facilities services sector.
2. Experience in conflict resolution and employee development.
3. Strong commercial acumen and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
5. Analytical problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to developing and implementing solutions.
6. Experience in handling client feedback, contract negotiations, and service improvements.
7. Familiarity with KPIs and performance measurement tools to drive service quality.
8. Proven ability to negotiate, influence, and advise at all levels.
9. Experience in budget planning and financial management for service operations.
10. Experience in driving profitability and managing P&L statements.
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Desirable Requirements:
1. Experience in driving innovation and implementing service changes.
2. IOSH – Managing Safely or equivalent certification.
3. Member of / involvement with the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM).
Special Conditions:
1. Availability for emergency callouts and the potential need for out-of-hours project involvement.

A good market rate package is offered along with an equity option as well as a basket of other benefits.
Days of Work:
This role will be a full-time permanent job based on a 40-hour working week. The nature of the role will require a degree of flexibility to conform with the requirements of the sector.
