POST: Administrative Officer
Hours: 36.25 hours per week, Term time only
Salary: NJC Scale 4 point 7 £25,584 (Actual pro rata £21,493)

The Governors of St Thomas’ are looking to recruit a flexible and highly motivated Administrative Officer. Experience in an education setting including a nursery is essential.
As part of our school office team, you will work alongside the Headteacher, Business Leader and Clerical Assistant to provide our school community with an efficient, effective and productive working school office which provides a welcoming environment for everyone children, staff, parents, governors and visitors alike. We are looking for a person who is calm, courteous and friendly with a professional approach to all duties, with the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work effectively as a team member in a very busy environment.
The ideal candidate must have:
* Experience of school routines, procedures and systems, including SIMS
* Good ICT skills, particularly in Word and Excel
* Have a positive and welcoming personality
* Demonstrate previous administrative, clerical and financial experience
* Communicate effectively with parents, pupils, visitors and staff
* Ability and capacity to see the bigger picture and appreciate Whole School Issues
* Remain calm and positive under pressure
* Be responsible for pupil data management and statistical returns
* Work with minimum supervision and as part of a team
* Show excellent communication, literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
* Be reliable
* Use initiative to support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team
* Be responsible for Schools Meals Records and debt management
