FTX Logistics is looking to recruit a number of HGV Mechanics to deliver its contracted Heavy Equipment Transporter (HET) capability on behalf of the MoD. It owns 82 military specification Oshkosh Tank Transporters. Working closely with their affiliated regular Army unit, 19 Tank Transporter Squadron RLC, FTX provide commercial HET support in the UK, delivering heavy armour and military support to exercises and operations.
FTX provides the Maintainer (Mechanic) capability through the employment of Sponsored Reserves (SR). All Mechanics are required to be trained REME Army Reservists who are full-time employees of FTX Logistics working at either Bulford in Wiltshire or Catterick in North Yorkshire.
Applicants will be a qualified automotive mechanic; those working towards the qualification may be considered. They are willing to be an Army Reservist as part of this role; previous military experience is an advantage but not essential.
Required qualifications:
HGV Mechanic BTEC / City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3.
HGV C+E licence is desirable but not essential.
Must be medically fit and able to join the Army Reserve.

Base salary £ 46,947.62
plus enhancements and overtime to OTE circa £50.3k
44-hour week Monday to Friday including paid breaks.
Up to 50% pay uplift when called out for exercises and operations.
Limited weekend working at 50% (Sat) and 100% (Sun) pay uplift.
All tools and PPE provided.
